In-house, Veridian provides the following services:
- Environmental Assessment - at multiple scales - regional to stand level.
- Technical and scientific report writing and presentation for a wide array of audiences (scientific / public, etc.)
- Climate change analysis and interpretation: impacts, adaptation and mitigation options.
- Development of frameworks for complex problems
- Policy and planning review, assessments, critiques.
- Use of indicators to assess the state of the environment - from regional districts, to the scale of the province. Includes monitoring plans at multiple scales for multiple ecological values.
- Model building for single species assessments.
- Board Member of the Columbia Mountains Institute.
- Rachel participates in many organisations - including being a part-time Board member of BC's independent watchdog on forest practices - the Forest Practices Board. See http://www.fpb.gov.bc.ca/
