- Environmental Assessment and Analysis
- Design, analysis and complilation of environmental states and trends report for Haida Gwaii land use plan. (Co-managed by MSRM and Haida).
- Ecological assessment of Glacier_Hower Independent Power Project.
- Environmental Risk Assesments for coarse filter biodiversity for a number of land use processes, including North Coast, Central Coast, Haida Gwaii, Sea-to-Sky.
- Development of a state of the environment reporting system for the Columbia Basin (Columbia Basin Trust). Includes framework and indicator development.
- Environmental trends analysis relating to the Kootenay Boundary Land Use Plan High Level Plan Order (MWLAP; MSRM; MoF).
- Ecological Restoration
- Author of Ecological Restoration Priorities for BC - a series of reports based on expert workshops. (MoE)
- Co-author of a strategy for restoration - relating to areas currently affected by mountain pine beetle and wildfires (MoF / MoE).
- Restoration plan for the West Arm Park, West Kootenays.
- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
- Lead author of HCVF report for Clayoquot Sound (2006).
- Presenter at WWF organised HCVF workshop discussing approaches to HCVFs.
- Member of technical review panel for interim BC standards.
- Review of various HCVF reports in Canada (for WWF 2004 and internal for certifiers).
- Environmental member of various audit teams (in BC and Ontario).
- Auditor for preliminary audit at Harrop-Proctor forest, BC.
- Technical reviewer and editor of various aspects of the BC FSC standards.
- Co-author of original discussion paper discussing approaches to applying HCVFs in BC.

- Old and Ancient Forest Assessments
- Developments of a series of old-growth indices for a range of ecosystems, primarily in the east and west kootenays (ICHmw2 / ESSFdk / ICHwk / ICHdm). (MoF).
- Endangered Forest Assessments for part of the Inland temperate rainforest.
- Assessments and conservation opportunities for old forest protection in the inland temperate rainforest (Columbia Basin Fish and Wildlife Compensation).
- Development and application of an aerial approach to assessing old-growth in order to implement provincial policies.
- Old forest assessment for the Coastal Douglas Fir ecosystem.
- From Science to Management
- Co-author of "how much is enough?" a review of the science relating to setting conversation targets (in press).
- Member of the Coast Information Team that developed a "Management Approach for Ecosystem-Based Management for Coastal BC".
- Co-author of a "Science compendium for ecosystem-based management (Coast Information Team).
- Project leader for an assessment of major "Threats to Biodiversity, and Conservation Gaps" - intended to support the original BC Biodiversity Strategy (MoE).
- Development of a series of environmental policies for the Ktunaxa First Nation. Relates to forestry, mining, coal-bed methane and hydro developments.
- Development of a strategic approach to ecosystem-based management: North Coast LRMP (MSRM; MWLAP; MoF).
- Effectiveness monitoring at stand and landscape levels. An opportunities assessment in relation to results-based management(MOF).
- Approach for a Conservation strategy for the Coastal Douglas Fir ecosystem. (MSRM).
- Discussion of Functional Key and other Special Elements of Biodiversity in BC. (MoE; MoF; MSRM)
